Public School Number Four (also called the Annie Lytle School) in Jacksonville, Florida.
In 1891, a wooden schoolhouse was built on the location. In 1915 it was decided something bigger was needed.. so construction started on the current schoolhouse that is there now.. and completed in 1917. In the 1960's the school was abandoned though.. so it has sat there for over 40 years.. empty. The town has been wanting to tear it down for forever. But the historical society always fights them, saying it's a historic landmark. So, there it still stands.

Unfortunately this has been since demolished for the so called improvement of the city .
